Jump! Swim Marlins

Coach Virginia is the owner of Jump Swim Schools.  She has certification as an American Red Cross WSI (Water Safety Instructor) and CPR, AED and First Aid certifications as well as Certified Pool Operator certification.  She and her team of instructors have been teaching children how to swim since April 2019. Coach Virginia decided to form Jump Swim Marlins Swim Team in 2022 to have an active goal for Jump Swim Marlins so their student would be introduced to the Swim Team life. 

Coach Mary Katherine has been with Jump! Swim Schools since 2020 as part time swim instructor and has been a swim team coach with us for 3 years with this year being her 4th year. Mary Katherine was on Town Souths swim team from the time she was 4 or 5 years old until age 17. Mary Katherine has her CPR certification in Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid. Mary Katherine has her swim instructor certifications from Jump Swim Schools instructor curriculum as well as Laurie Lawrence Worldwide Swim Schools as well as training with Ms. Virginia.  Mary Katherine is Graduating Louisiana Tech May 2025 in Elementary Education and has currently teaching at Curtis Elementary in Bossier City. We are so happy that we have Mary Katherine working with us for the Summer League 

Coach JoDee has been with Jump Swim Marlins for two years now. She is an excellent "Learn to Swim" instructor with her certifications from Jump Swim Schools Learn to Swim Curriculum and Laurie Lawrence Worldwide Swim Schools. JoDee also has her CPR certification Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid. She has trained with Coach Virginia as well. 

JoDee is currently attending LSUS and is working to obtain her Degree in Education to become a Kindergarten teacher 

Coach Reese has been with Jump Swim Marlins for 5 years now. She is an excellent "Learn to Swim" instructor with her certifications from Jump Swim Schools Learn to Swim Curriculum and Laurie Lawrence Worldwide Swim Schools. Reese also has her CPR certification Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid. She has trained with Coach Virginia as well.

Reese is currently attending Northwestern to become a Radiologist. We are so excite for Reese to graduate this May.  

Coach Reese will be helping with Practice but will not be assisting at the Swim Meets. 

Coach Maddie has been with Jump Swim Marlins for two years now. She is an excellent instructor with her certifications from Jump Swim Schools Learn to Swim Curriculum and Laurie Lawrence Worldwide Swim Schools. Maddie also has her CPR certification Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid. She has trained with Coach Virginia as well.

Maddie graduated from Parkway High School in December and will be attending Louisiana Tech in August and is interested in obtaining her degree in Business Administration

Coach Kaleigh has been with Jump Swim Marlins for two years now. She is an excellent instructor with her certifications from Jump Swim Schools Learn to Swim Curriculum and Laurie Lawrence Worldwide Swim Schools. Kaleigh also has her CPR certification Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid. She has trained with Coach Virginia as well.

Kaleigh is graduated Parkway High School in December of 2025 and is currently attending Louisiana Tech and is pursuing a degree in Business Administration.

Coach McKenna has been with Jump Swim Schools since December 2024. 

McKenna will serve as an assistant coach at our swim meets.

McKenna has obtained her swim instructor certifications from Jump Swim Schools instructor curriculum and is in the process of completing certification curriculum Laurie Lawrence Worldwide Swim Schools as well as training with Ms. Virginia. 

McKenna is starting her  Senior Year at Captain Shreve High School for the 2026-2027 school year.
